Osteopathic Medicine

Osteopathic physicians (D.O.) like allopathic physicians (M.D.) are fully trained and licensed to practice in all fields of medicine and surgery. They differ in philosophy and training. Osteopathic physicians practice a “whole person” approach to medicine instead of just treating specific symptoms or illnesses. They are also trained to use their hands to diagnose and treat illness and injury, and to encourage your body’s natural healing tendencies. Osteopathic manipulation uses a variety of hands-on techniques to correct musculoskeletal dysfunctions in the body. We treat the entire body from head to toe.

Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT)

OMT utilizes multiple hands-on techniques to treat tenderness, asymmetry, restriction and tissue texture changes of the musculoskeletal system. It is extremely effective in relieving discomfort from the following:

  • pregnancy
  • neck pain
  • back pain
  • motor vehicle accidents
  • injury
  • sports
  • daily activities
  • body aches
